Pousada Mosteiro de Amares | Pedro & Roger

April 20, 2020

Pousada Mosteiro de Amares! When Pedro & Rogério first contacted me to talk about their wedding Pousada Mosteiro de Amares, in Portugal, I was immediately impressed with the location.

The ceremony and reception were held in the monastery itself.

The Pousada is the result of the restoration of a 19th century Cistercian Monastery. XII, in a remarkable work by Architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, the space was created to look different every hour of the day. Lights and shadows created a unique setting that changed while we were shooting and it helped me get unique results.

The whole morning was filled with emotions. You will understand what I mean when you see the images.

The ceremony was perfect as you will see in the images and, at the time of the session, we got the best possible light for our photos.

The dinner we had the night before and at the reception was just incredible. Local ingredients that made the most delicious dishes I ever had during a wedding.

The atmosphere, once everyone started dancing after dinner, was anything. The guests sang in unison with the songs all night, making this a wedding to remember.

I would love to go back to another wedding at the Monastery of Amares, I cross my fingers to make it happen.

Many thanks to the teams, wedding planners from Portugal who made this event Pousada Pousada Mosteiro de Amares really special.
